For the launch collection of SomethingGood, the concept brand I founded with Zaven and Matteo Zorzenoni, the focus was creating some not-too-big items for the home or the office, using craft techniques and/or awesome materials at a nice price. Nish, not surprisingly recalling a certain Mr. Kapoor, is a good example: made in polished copper or chromed metal, it’s a centerpiece or container made in spun metal, with a central core that helps balancing the whole product. The items you would put inside easily roll toward the center, thus increasing the stability of the product, and they seem to float over the table. The polished surface mirrors the inside and creates a multiplicative effect.
